EY1 - just a chance to examine your biases for why you assumed it was a woman when acting in a deragotory manner?
You guys are funny. "Grammargirl" is an online authority on grammar in the age of the Internet. As a proper noun I believe the reference was to the content of the post, and not some gender specific microaggreasion.
Let's analyze this further
@P1 thanks for the support - not clear to me how my assertion of grammatical fact is indicative of gender bias. Furthermore, I self identify as neither "male" not "female"....
Furthermore, EY2, your use of further is correct in that context.
*"male nor female'
Ok grammargirl
Pwc 1 - just a chance to google grammargirl
Furthermore, in the context of this discussion, "further" is and adjective, and thus modifies a noun; "furthermore" is an adverb.
Do what
Can coroborate that Grammargirl is a grammar authority. It's also a great podcast
She's got a podcast?? Hold my beer.
