Anyone ever get upgraded on an international flight booked on points with delta? If so, any tips of making it happen?
Reserve vs SPG, thoughts? I got the reserve last year and have been using to pay all hotels, should I cancel now when the fee is charged again and go back to SPG? I like the flexibility of having points outside of spg tough
Morning flights delayed 9+hrs due to mechanical issue, was able to change to a different flight later tonight should I still ask for points?
$300 for an upgrade to bizFirst on a six hour flight that is often delayed after boarding? fuck yes. #stockmorebourbon
Realized yesterday that in addition to the 4.5% back in travel points on my CSR, I registered my card on yelp and can get cash back as statement credit, as well as Uber credit from Uber local rewards
For those who fly Delta- do you prefer the two-split priority/general lanes, or the individual premium/priority/zone 1, 2, etc. lanes?
Fucking hate Delta. Missed my flight. I was with my 4 months old 👶 daughter. She was hungry and crying I requested em to let me check in bag early instead waiting in Line. They said no. Morons.
Any way to quickly get to Silver Medallion status on Delta if I’ve used a status match within the past 3 years? Can I buy MQMs?
A good indicator of a bad day is drinking Sutter Home from the Hilton Garden Inn pantry.
Any book recommendations for philosophy, psychology, and business? Or any book you read last year changed your values? Going to fly international, gonna read it on flight. 😍
Does IHG do a status match with either bonvoy, Hyatt or Hilton? Any contact or link I can request on
Anyone heard or experienced traveling to and from India from the US on Qatar Airways? Have been seeing online that certain people (such as B1/B2 visa holders) weren’t allowed to board the flight from India. FYI I’ve a stamped H1B visa. Any inputs are appreciated.
Who's at the Westin in Waltham?

I’m really burned out by WFH and plan to take a week off. Don’t want to go out too much yet so will likely just stay at home. The challenge: I have no idea what I’m doing with several days at home - maybe just binge watch Netflix? Any ideas?
Looking for advice. I'm a tax manager that worked at both Big 4 and mid-tier in expat/mobility tax. I want to move away from tax compliance and more into technology. I currently use Excel and VBA for automating processes, and are taking beginner coding classes (Python, intro to programming). What career path do I have? I thought about quitting to do a bootcamp and work as a software developer, but is it too risky? Perhaps I can blend my tax experience and "coding" skills and do tax technology?
Hey MBB Fishes! I have an offer to shift from a M (5 YoE, no MBA) position to a Consultant position at BCG - does anyone have any insight into expected change in responsibilities and salary range I should be pushing for?
What is the health insurance provided by LTI? Is it floater or individual? Can I extend the cap of the insurance?
I want to exit to MBB but if that’s not a possibility what are the next best consulting firms? Looking for at least midsize firms (non-boutiques).
I wonder what this means for return to office plans.
Was hired by a Big 4’s M&A tax practice to start in the Summer away from home. But I just recently received a tremendous offer with a Big law tax group in my hometown and there is no way I cannot take it—I’m a JD/LLM. How should I go about notifying the hiring partner at the Big4? Are there any repercussions I should be worried about? Pleas help.
Any insights into annual raises, performance bonus (avg., min-max %) for Senior Lead/VP at Northern Trust, Chicago? TIA ! Northern Trust
EY Parthenon Software strategy group (SSG) vs Deal Technology (DT)? What are the pros and cons / salary / career growth / exit opps?
Thinking about a switch from Accenture to EY (consultant level). Any thoughts? Has anyone worked at both and can compare work culture?
I have 2 offers that I’m struggling with: 1- start up company looking to IPO in the next year. I’d be controller doing all technical accounting. It’s in a tech space so it could work, or it could flop. Also would have longer hours. Salary+ bonus is 155k with 25k of stock options 2- more mature company, I’d only be doing technical accounting and sec reporting. Less work, but more independent work. Salary is 140k no bonus but 150k of stock options. Options 2 is safer but I’m conflicted

Folks @ Cisco Can you please provide some details about what to expect as part of TC for a program manager role? Wanted to get opinion from community. Should I continue as EY FAAS manager M2 (120k) or take job as an assistant controller with biotech for 170k plus bonus and stock? Assistant Controller job would require me to be in office few days a week (about hour and half commute one way) whereas faas is remote for foreseeable future. I also don't know way to get promoted to FAAS senior manager ( m3-> senior manager?). I also don't know FAAS SM salary.
What is an appropriate amount to have for an all expense mortgage (property taxes, hoa, etc)? My income is a base of 140 with a bonus of around 15k. I currently contribute 100% to 401k and Roth. This leaves my normal paycheck at around 5k a month. I have about 200k towards a down payment. I want to get a place I won’t want to leave in a few years so I’m thinking of getting something more than a starter home but don’t want to be living paycheck to paycheck
EY 🐠 - Are there any issues with dad's taking the full 16 weeks for parental leave? It says primary care givers only. Thanks!
Can somebody please explain to me why MBB and other top consulting firms are so adamant that you have an MBA? I majored in accounting, finance, and operations management at a top 10 undergrad business school and then got my masters in information systems from the grad school program. I took multiple MBA courses as electives when getting my masters and it seemed like those classes were very basic and easy. Idk if I would learn anything in an MBA program that I hadn’t already learned in undergrad
How do y’all quiet the noise in your head that’s telling yourself “they’re only interviewing me to check off the diversity box”? Heading into another round for a VP role that I feel unqualified for. It’s hard to not think this is the classic Rooney Rule at play. Would love any tips.
