I am fully remote, we actually closed the local office. We do still have offices but they are states away and I never have to go in. I cannot imagine going back! Running away screaming is an appropriate response 😂
I’ve been remote for 7 years. I’be been spoiled. I recently started looking at the job market again and I’m scared to do hybrid because it’s a big commitment and I’m just not use to going into an office anymore and the commute in SoCal sucks. I thought a higher compensation would help but even with that I’m still turning down an offer because I’d rather stay remote.
I can relate to this! I’ve been fully remote for over 10 years. I recently started looking at external opportunities and they’re most all hybrid.
I went from fully remote to a back in office role. I feel like I go to day Jail!!!
EAs became WFH during pandemic (were never allowed to before then). Now with hybrid, they keep trying push ppl to go back in. Bring up how they are losing staff due to not being able to interact, but I’m not buying that.
As an EA, I wouldn’t mind NEVER having to step foot into the office again since there’s no commute, interruptions, sick ppl around you, $$$ saved from gas and parking and being much happier.
Not to mention you get to avoid the toxic collegue
You're very fortunate. Our company is still remote but my group is in the office 4x a week. I've talked to a lot of recruiters and hybrid positions are the new norm, three days in office. It's brutal being back in.
I know going back into office sucks big time!! But at least isn’t 5 days in the office. Which I have to do. :(
EAs at our office are hybrid, work 2 days remote and come in the rest of the work week. However, if you talk to your company regarding your concerns, they may approve you for remote work. I was offered a fully remote role after discussing my concerns to them.

I’m fully remote but my company (Collins) and parent company (Raytheon Technologies) has a mix for the EA role. It really depends on your exec and whether your considered a site admin. If you’re a site admin you’ll be expected to be in office at least some days. If your exec doesn’t care or lives out of state you will be allowed to be 100% remote. It usually says in the job description if they’re accepting remote applicants bc all of the roles are listed under a location regardless of whether they’re remote or not.
I don’t blame you, I also could not imagine going back to an office full time. I don’t mind going occasionally to support events though. I do miss the exercise of walking around an office all the time for various things, but not enough I’d want to ever commute or be required to be there everyday again.
Remote and go in only if I want to, which is rare. If the cost of commuting stays high, I’ll be staying remote.
100% remote. Company has only one small office space. Global company. (Not the one listed. I changed companies. The one listed is also fully remote with the option to go into global offices should the employee wish to. Not mandatory.)
We were fully remote until a few months ago. Everyone I the office has option to wfh except the EAs they expect us 4 days in office
I'm fully remote, and have been since March of this year -- took the option as part of 'work mode' selection when our offices reopen. I don't think I could ever go back either!!
I’m 100% remote but will travel out of state ~4x a year to where most the team is based. I enjoy working remotely but also enjoy my time on site to connect with my team.
We started back to the office and the numbers of staff who slogged in dropped steadily after opening day. Negotiated 2 days a week in the office and often wonder why (unless there’s an event or mtg) I bother. It means I have a 12 hour day w 8:30a-4:15p in the office. Sr Partner would do a walkabout and take a headcount. Now I don’t even see him that often.
Face to face interaction was daunting but everyone has been incredibly nice. I had to buy new clothes though.
Fully remote here! But my company was remote even before Covid- no offices at all.
I still work 100% from home. I go in when/if needed (once so far since March 2020).
It's rare now... my company is still hybrid though, may change back to fully in office later this year
4 days in the office 1 day remote
I was hired that year to be a100% remote EA. Had been working remote for my last employer, but would have to go into the office some time after Covid. Do not care if I ever have to go into another office in my life again
Im fully 100% remote. Roles are out there and like others I would take less to be able to stay home and go in occasionally.
