How many times have you relocated for a job/promotion? Do you regret it? I recently landed a good opportunity but it does require me to move from coast to coast.

I haven’t moved for jobs necessarily but I have moved quite a bit for school, church missions, etc, and there are always growing pains but looking back I don’t regret a single one of them. If you’re feeling comfortable and stagnant where you are then get out of your routine and go try something new, especially if it’s a step up for you in your career! I am a huge advocate for always being at least slightly uncomfortable.

Are Coforge reviews fake on Glassdoor? Had a discussion with their HR today. He was telling Coforge is doubling in size and revenue in the next 2 years, we had the least attrition. My company covers in depth results each week, including meetings set/attended, wins, revenue, retention etc. I feel as if evaluating in such depth is detrimental to the psyche, as you never get to “ride the high.” In addition, some weeks are simply slower than others, and it’s not always representative of what the results at the end of the period or quarter will be. Is this not a big deal, and I’m I placing too much importance on it? Or is it beneficial to review results less frequently?

Currently stuck in risk but interested in Cyber. Have done one related engagement from a regulatory perspective. But a lot of posts here making me think it’s harder to break into than I expected (non-technical background). Additional Posts in Investment Banking - IBD

Have an internship next summer in a vertical I don’t want to work in and is completely unrelated to where I want to end up. However the firm is strong in PE. To try and break into that side after my internship at the same company, would it be more beneficial to take on a (very small boutique) PE internship or an IB internship this fall?

Current student looking for advice. I interned at RBC Wealth Management last summer and currently have 2 offers for summer 2023 that require a decision next week: 1 for BASF (chemical manufacturing) and 1 for Peraton (defense technology); I am also waiting to hear back from SMBC (S&T), Point72, Lord Abbett, Boeing, and Shell. I hope to break into banking next summer, and I’m interested in the Natural Resources, Industrials, and Real Estate industry groups. Any advice on what to do? Thanks!

I can really use some direction. My background, I've worked 2 years in strategy and am currently coming off an exhausting year 2 in investment banking. I didn't particularly enjoy either role and am not interested in moving over to the buy-side or some monotonous FP&A role. Everybody says there's exit-ops aplenty, but I find myself with less options and even more picky than I did as an ambitious T2 undergrad student. Where do I go from here?
