How much do you usually spend on a 7 day all inclusive resort, I booked a 5 star well rated resort in Dominican Republic for 5500 two adults and a child, is that a normal range?
Am I over spending?
It seemed like a good deal 59% discount or something

So roughly $785/night for a 5 star resort to sleep, all the alcohol/food you can drink, and no need to stress about booking or taking your child to a restaurant in the town.

Lol… Yes

But 7 days of the same thing is a bit much.

Yeah, should work out. Time flies by….

If it’s the only trip for the year, I think that’s not horrible, but at the same time it’s expensive for the DR

like

I feel things have got super expensive

like

You’re leaving out a key detail - when are you going? June, you grossly over paid, one of the main school vacation weeks, at a nice property, that doesn’t seem out of line.

like

Agreed with D1 - that’s peak season. The price seems reasonable.

like

Last time I went to the DR (I’ve been 4 times now for a week each time) my bf and I paid around 2,500 total for all inclusive resort and flights included. I think it was about $1,200-1,400 per person (adults) so I’m not sure how much they would charge for a kid bec it’s not like they’d be consuming alcohol so ide say you didn’t get a bad deal but wasn’t a great great deal. If you purchased your flights and stay separately that could be why, need to try to purchase it as a package

like

I just checked Costco Travel and didn’t like the packages offered, hotels weren’t well rated.
The only hotel that was well rated Hyatt Ziva Punta Cana was 10k for 7 nights which was way above my budget
I booked the flights with points and paid 5500 for hotel but now I feel we overspent

They don’t charge for the baby he is younger than 2

I paid more by myself. Certain periods of the year are more expensive than others

like

Leave the child at home and have a real vacation.

Sounds pretty typical, especially the time of year you are traveling. Prices are higher now through the winter and then will come down a bit in the summer months. I just booked clients at a similar resort for $5300 for a package.

Hi everyone, I'm new to Canada and want to start my career here in the Financial and Banking industry. I have passed the CFA level 2 exam and was wondering if I have to complete the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) as most of the job postings here mention about it. I saw that if someone passes at least the CFA level 1 exam then the requirement of CSC is exempted. Can anyone enlighten me about this? As the CSC exam costs above 1000 CAD, I wanted to be sure if I need it before investing behind it.
