I have a family of 5 and we’re close to $1,800 a month. Grocery price inflation is a laggard in recovering from inflation because the entire supply chain has seen cost increases from insurance to fuel to labor etc. Just keeps eating up most of our monthly budget and I don’t expect it to get better any time soon.
I eat whatever is on sale at Safeway
Also a family of 4 and I’d average about 275$ a week right now. And that is with a ton of planning and listing before hand and trying to get the most bang for our buck kind of stuff too. Absolutely cannot just go walking in and get random odds and ends anymore, that’s for sure.
I am one person and I spend way too much on groceries for one person. I woudl say on average I spend around $300 a month give or take but that has gone up significantly. So if you are spending $325 for a family of four I would say that you are doing pretty well or maybe I am doing really poorly haha.
They said 325 a week
Well, I live along and I am still spending around $180.00 and $225.00 each week on groceries. But I tend to eat a lot of organic fruits and vegetables. So, having a higher than expected grocery bill is not all that abnormal. But I have since the prices of the food I eat increase lately
I spent between $80-120/wk on average as a single guy in a HCoL area. I also tend to spend for higher quality items and eat mostly Whole Foods.
