How much should I care about title? I was looking for jobs and found positions with responsibilities and experience needed equivalent to a controller level while called senior accountant or something like that. This is especially seen in the funds where they normally have flat structure. Given all others things (people, culture, comp etc.,) within my expectation, should I get too hang up on the title then? Afraid that it might hurt my resume going forward. Any thoughts are appreciated!

I have a SQL assessment to complete with Home Depot for a Senior Analyst position for Inventory Solutions department and a little nervous for it as I have not touched SQL in over a year and a half since my previous role. Does anyone happen to have any tips or insight on the assessment? What functions are commonly asked, etc. thanks in advance. Looking at YouTube and LinkedIn tutorials at the moment to freshen up.

My last interview was on Monday and I got feedback that I did not get selected because it did not seem like I was a a team player. It’s been a little over two weeks since I interviewed with Microsoft and another tech company is currently preparing an offer for me. I’m planning to mention exactly that detail to the MSFT recruiter to make sure they speed up their decision. Are there do’s Or don’ts about this? Any tips?

My AD coworker (not currently my partner) just got hired at a new agency and wants to bring me along as his writer. I'd love to join. He told the recruiter at that agency about me and sent my book. I also have another former coworker (creative) who put in a good word for me.

I’m new to the cybersecurity industry, professionally speaking (I did/do a lot for family and close friends). I’ve completed a boot camp, which I regret doing. I have certifications for companies such as Qualys and ISC2, but no CompTIA security+ yet. I tailor my resume to position descriptions. It’s been a month or so, without any offers. What would you suggest that I do to get my first entry level position?

Currently scheduling “on sites” for a S&O role in CA. My referrer said they can hire as L5 or L6. Would like to land in the L6 bucket as I’ve heard 5 --> 6 is one of the more challenging promotions.

I’m looking for info on what the real difference is in responsibilities (manager vs IC, cross functional vs focused, etc) so I can focus on checking the L6 boxes during my interviews.

Can someone explain how PTO works in house? I have only ever worked at a firm, starting my first in house position end of this month.
