How much should you expect your salary to increase yearly as a fund accountant compared to a public accountant?

You’re only going to get a 1-3% raise every year in fund accounting whereas you generally get 4-7% in public. That said, when you eventually do get promoted you’ll probably get a nice raise and bonus at a fund. I’ve worked at both a fund and in public, so feel free to ask any other question you have.

Not really. If you’re at a big enough place where there’s growth than maybe you get promoted every few years and will get a raise then, otherwise you’d have to ask for one. If you’re at a smaller place where it’s just maybe you, a controller, and the CFO it might be harder. Bonus are good though and perhaps you can negotiate that easier.

I believe it will be 1-3% this year. Soo Nothing
