Love of god do not follow manufacturer guidelines for oil changes (ie 10k oil changes). Max I would go for synthetic oil is 5k. Oil is the CHEAPEST insurance for maintaining the life of the vehicle. $100 oil change vs $10k engine rebuild, choice is simple
My Toyota has a weird maintenance schedule, like every other oil change is 3000 or 6000 miles.
Gr86? That's what I have, schedule is 7500 miles/3750 if tracking it (though the BRZ is 6k/3k)
I just do mine twice a year when I swap summer/winter tires. Comes out to ~5k for the most part. I think unless you're driving something way out there from the norm or tracking your car, 5k is fine
5k should be plenty. And that's personally what I do too.
When you hear people complaining about long oil change intervals, the issue is with the manufacturers that are recommending 10k intervals these days.
Whenever the car says it's time.
My car is 7 years old, and I push it to 6,000 miles between oil changes. So far, no issues, but I always wonder if I should do it sooner.
Once a year. 10k miles max. Usually around 8k though.
