How to prepare for a consulting written case study interview?

For those who have gone through Mck First Round/Final Round - could you talk about how the interview took place? I am a bit worried as it might be hard to connect with the interviewer when the process is not in-person. Did you have a phone call or a Zoom call with video, and did it feel awkward? I interviewed with capgemini for SAP ABAP role and my YOE is 4 years. Just 2 hours after my interview, I got a call from someone at Capgemini saying that I am selected.
They just asked my notice period and current location.I asked them, what is the next round going to be and they said that it is going to be salary discussion. But till now, no one has reached out to me.
Does it mean they got another candidate for same job?
If they get back to me, how much should I ask?

He tried to reason with the leadership team (c-suite, small company), but had no effect, so resigned since he would have to execute on those unethical/fraudulent decisions.
