How would you structure training for a paralegal new to litigation to maximize their productivity and retention without overwhelming them?

Don’t forget the importance of “why.” If they don’t understand the actual goal, they’re not able to critically think to find solutions

Great tip, thank you!

Enlist a senior paralegal to do it and do it right. Make sure you are compensating your senior paralegal accordingly. Understand that it will take more than a day, week or month and could take up to a year or more for the person to be totally up to speed to be fully autonomous without oversight. There will still always be questions just as with attorneys. If they're doing something wrong correct them so it's rectified moving forward. The training can vary widely depending on the area of the law, etc. Some people pick it up. Some don't and just don't advance or won't succeed.

The senior paralegal will not do it effectively which is why I must. I understand it takes time I’m more so asking what particular subject matters should be included.

Hi all! I’m an Australian citizen (currently living in the US), and am moving to Sydney in August. I currently work at Accenture in the US with 2.5 YOE. How would you suggest applying for jobs/networking? While I’d be happy to stay at Accenture and transfer, I’m also open to other firms as well. Any leads are greatly appreciated!

Of course I won’t tell a single friend/coworker. Only my partner. And I don’t post work stuff on social media.
