Reasons not to join HCL ??
I am not good in trading. Earlier had some with motilal oswal, have to check it's status and close as Citi does not permit trading outside I guess.
Since I recently joined Citi, Now I want to learn and do trading inside citi. I really want to master this skill ..
Please guide me on this.

I came from a big4 before joining ZS. Can summarize based on my 1 year experience here:
1) Work - Much better than what I was doing earlier.
2) WLB - Better than what I had earlier. The hours vary from 50-55 hours/week but much more flexibility plus I hardly work post 6:30pm. It’s always a very early morning start but maybe that’s because of EST time zone.
3) Pay - Better than big4. Hikes, bonus better than big4.
4) Travel - Little/No travel as they will mostly keep you in local projects depending on your location. Hated the business travel after being on road for 3 years in my previous firm.
5) Benefits - Health Insurance is fantastic. But 401k is average. There’s no wellness fund as what you get in all the big4. But, hey we’re talking $500-1000/year. I’d much rather take a high base than that.
Overall, I feel culture wise, ZS is very good. I have much more flexibility in the way I work. Again, this is just my experience but I feel I’m learning a lot and at-least at my level; getting a pretty decent pay. Just wish the 401k was better in terms of vesting.
AC level
go for specific practices or groups where you like the people and have a strong impression of the work or you'll end up on mind numbing staff aug/pmo/off shore led projects where you won't learn much
no/low travel, culture and people are great if a little quirky, benefits okay but health insurance pretty good
Covid hire here (SIPA)
Culture is good
Wlb is the usual as all consulting firms (~50 to the occasional ~70hrs)
Benefits are good but don’t like their 401k matching program. Need to stay 6 years to fully vest 😒
Travel is arite, did some traveling to client site but not that bad
@OP. Doesn’t vest in the first 2 years. Then, 25% each year. So, 401k is defn not good
These questions are silly without more information. Except for benefits, all of the items you are asking about will vary greatly by city/office, industry, service line, project, etc. I completely understand why the question was asked but to get a more accurate feel for the company, you may be better off providing more info to start.
It’s still valuable to hear others’ experiences even if they’re not doing the exact same thing I’d be doing
