Need some advice here. I am a fullstack developer with 5 yoe in Angular and Python. My aim is to crack FAANG companies. Now I got an offer from HSBC in a credit risk model monitoring role using Python. It is close to a data engineer role.
My question is that will it be a good idea to shift from development role to a model monitoring role if I want to move to FAANG in the future?Or does FAANG not prefer people who are not in core development roles?Amazon Microsoft Google Adobe PwC EY Citi Barclays JPMorgan Chase

Coach
A lot better than a few years back.
Better than other firms in the region.
On par with Bain EMEA culture.
In the ME we average ~60h a week (average of weekly case team surveys for Dubai office this year).
Office is more diverse than it was a few years back with a great mix of nationalities and experiences.
Happy to answer more specific questions :)
Thanks. Does it change at SM/AP role in the digital side?
Can only second B1. Switched over from another firm in the region and happy with my choice :)
Sure thing, got for it
Do you have a preference for French speakers? One would guess so, judging by the number of French speaking Partners in the office, including the Managing Partner.
Nothing wrong with that but it is a bit unique like how it looks like a Lebanese mafia at S&. Want to debate? Look up the leadership page first and show me your comeback.
Lol this is such a weird dig BCG1
It’s irrelevant and the working culture at Bain in ME is >>>>> BCG
Best of the three I think but worse compared to developed markets
Agree with what has previously been said. Better culture and WLB than most/all competitors in the region. Same/worse culture and WLB compared to other Bain offices worldwide.
