I’ve been on 4 different Salesforce implementation projects there. It really depends on the team when it comes to WLB. My first solution was with a great team and the WLB was fantastic.
The other 3 projects were awful. In fact, one of the projects I was managing had 0 documentation. We were to update an existing system that was full of bugs and integrate it with a new system on a set timeline. Lots of late nights and long weekends. To compound the effect, a lot of the teams don’t even work off of stories and do real UAT. It’s all “just make it work how I want by tomorrow.” I sat in numerous 20 person 30min meetings where critical decisions would be made on the fly. Furthermore, since they have a subscription to every SF add on imaginable, they try to force tools that aren’t intended for the end products they want.
Long story short, it depends. However, the full-time salesforce people there don’t make as much as you could get at even a small company.
My company? Yes.
