hi, looking at joining a t2 as an experienced consultant. the recruiter mentioned the job was part of this specific practice being built out in reaction to a recently won 5 year project. if i am hired into this team, would i be expected to be linked to this project for the entire 5 years? my concern is that the position ends up being contract-like with no exposure to other projects and teams and that my fate would be too closely linked with this project.

Currently in healthcare and would imagine having bigger impact in former as it's smaller team and has robust innovation incubation but it's contract with hourly rate in 60+ range. YOE: 11.5 Tech: QA Automation with Selenium-Java, BDD, API automation, Mobile Automation - Perfecto cloud, Appium All the 11 years I am with automation only. Is it possible for me to learn new technology and switch. Recently acquired AWS cloud practitioner certification which is of no use to me now as they are asking for exp. I wanted to move to devops role. But without experience no one is giving opportunity and they are considering my profile as QA only 😒

Need advice. I received an offer from a company after searching for a job for MONTHS and submitting hundreds of applications. Currently unemployed. They are lowballing me by about $20k, on a salary and expect 10-12 hour days, occasional weekends (on top of M-F), and overall no work life balance. I don't want the job, but I financially need it.
