A friend of mine worked in GT. He had been immigrated from Asia and hated it in GT. Unlike other consulting firms; GT gives the client option to choose consultants by providing their cv. His resume was competing with a pool of locals to get the best role.He couldn’t land good projects as the clients were biased towards choosing the locals (unconscious bias). In nine months he quit his role and moved on to a better position.
So if you are an international candidate trying to get into strategy consulting; I’d be a bit careful.
I am sorry I do not have any information on work life balance but I thought it’s important you know the practice of the firm.
Thanks for sharing insights
My wife works in GT. Work-life balance will be very dependent on what project you are on, what role you are in and how the company culture is for the client you are working with.
Is GT good company to join?
