Anyone have experience working CWX side of Facebook (Meta) ? These are the full time contract roles that potentially turn into permanent roles directly with Facebook (Meta). Had a recruiter reach out and offering me comparable TC and such, just curious if anyone has experience in these roles and success/failure of transitioning into permanent role. Thanks in advance!

Got a random email from a supposed Amazon recruiter for a SDE position (which is not at all a fit). The email is amazon.com domain and there are no red flags in the body but it doesn't feel like an Amazon recruiter due to the tacky signature, etc. Has anyone seen this kind of cold-calling from FAANG recruiter?

Lol what you would go from a 6 YOE M position to a 0 YOE BA position? That’s completely retarded unless you Deloitte people are severely underpaid
We’re still using the r word in 2022. Yikes

If you have both offers, I would strongly consider MBB. The exit opportunities are next level if you hang out for a few years and are successful.
You've learned to manage, delegate, think, etc. Do you want to be dictated to by 24 yr olds that know less than you for 3-5 yrs? Your call.
YOE =/= talent. If you’re a 24 year old managing others in MBB you’ve probably earned it.
If entry level @MBB = post-MBA, then MBB no question and the comp would be higher (at least in London)
If entry level = post-undergrad, then Deloitte all the way
If something in-between (Jr Associate at McK, SAC at Bain, Sr Associate at BCG), up to you - MBB would be a bit below but not dramatically so and you would click up to post-MBA level in 1 year
This.
I left Big4 when I was a year into M, joined MBB as a lateral at post-MBA entry level. Accelerated my pay by years and provided me more exit opportunities. Don’t regret it one bit.
That being said, go for a post-MBA entry level, not undergrad.
Post-mba is referred to as entry level and is almost certainly what OP is referring to
MBB. Everything else is mediocracy being elevated because of their top 20% of talent.

For context, I had a mentor almost in my exact position who made the transition and made EM in 3.5 years. M at D is typically 4 years, and 4-6 at SM. So she was able to surpass her comp at D as M1 very quickly.
I would take MBB, your compensation will be higher in 2 years and your exit ops will be stronger

Entry at MBB, no doubt about it
If you like strategy, go with MBB. You will make more in a few years with better options ( exit or otherwise).
