Best bet is having a company’s own recruiter reach out to you. They use LinkedIn for their research.
Do some research on a dozen or so roles you would be interested in. Synthesize the postings, and then update your LinkedIn profile to match. If there are any keywords that repeat themselves you want to be using those EXACT terms.

🤷♂️ every one of my jobs came from getting poached this way.
you'll need to really spam LinkedIn job postings with resumes. it's going to take more than a few resume drops to get hits. it's not even remotely like the law firm lateral market where you can be more targeted. companies generally have incredibly small legal teams (compared to even mid size law firms), so you really have to cast a wide net unless you have a good in or are an exceptional candidate. (and i'd argue that an exceptional candidate already has IHC experience)
if you're in the Bay or interested in tech, all you really need is LinkedIn imo

Why'd you decline SpaceX? ☹️

Apply on LinkedIn. Reach out to former colleagues/clients inhouse. Practice interview skills. Repeat. I was a 8th year ECVC associate when I went in house. It’s difficult but doable.
Look at your clients. They are the most likely to hire you.

you are probably too many years deep in big law experience that IHC roles may see you as a culture clash
