It all depends on your vision for the future, if you like the supply chain you should evaluate your market and look for what suits you best. Always give the best service, it is the best way to grow fast.
Can you give some example roles that I grow into and can research on, and industries as well
Well, how do you personally define what a good job is? Salary? Work-life balance? Growth opportunities? Benefits?
I’d say Salary, growth opportunities globally, benefits in that order 😅 what are the salary scales like compared to other industries like tech or finance
it's good if you want to make money I can tell you that much haha
Haha 😆 well yeah compensation is my main drive naturally, but can you elaborate how competitive salaries are compared to roles in tech or finance industry.
And what’s the fastest growing and exciting industry for supply chain for example - eneryg, FMCG, banking etc
It's certainly an "interesting" field to get into right now, very high pressure and a lot of bad press. I'm actually surprised that people still want to get into the field. Lots of volatility in the current situation
If you are able to weather the storm, you will always be able to find work in this industry. As far as specialties go, boxes are boxes, so it doesn't really matter if you are delivering toasters or toothbrushes: as long as you are being paid to do it, it becomes your mission by default. As far as you are able to make or influence decisions about clients, I would say that you should emphasize stable companies that are more firmly entrenched in the market. A lot of fly-by-night corporations are unable to make the cut and if they are out of business you are out as well
