Now they changed the policy as we need to apply for icici/axis/hdfc credit card from there we need to make the transaction and reimburse the same. I am ok with everything but why i need to apply for credit card? How a company can force me to have a credit card? It will directly/indirectly alter the credit score right? Cogniza

I can do without the travel and the 4am wake ups on Monday and walking in the door at around midnight on Thursday after multiple flights. But I do miss meals being covered!
Nah that structure was the only thing keeping many of us motivated. Go to industry!
I just travelled to the kitchen
Go to industry if that's your idea of travel
OP, can I ask what you miss about the travel? It was awful for me - for all the reasons D1 just pointed out, plus sleeping in hotels 🤢, being unable to cook for myself or go to my gym, and having only 3 full days at home (1 of which I worked, and 1 of which I had to sleep early for to wake up for Monday flights). Is there a particular perk that make all of those cons worth it for you?
C1, I have both, you are literally gaslighting by textbook definition. This isn't unhinged at all, it's called venting. Traveling was awesome. This is god awful work without that part. If you didn't like it, you could go to industry. Now that I'm trying to find a better job, I'm seeing peers that I outperformed getting snapped up for all of these great roles and I feel like I'm in the dust. The pandemic has fucked my career. So of course I'm going to come across as abrasive and pissed off. I can only imagine you're some rich kid who has parents to fall back on.
My points 🙁
Yeah, doing it on cam doesn't give that feeling 😂
We stayed in cheap hotels and had Diarhea inducing meals.
Seeing family and friends on a daily basis, cooking for myself, and getting time off at night >>> Traveling for a year to pay for one vacation with points
Travel was like extra compensation. All the points and then making money from per diem. One of the reasons I came to consulting from industry is because I wanted the travel
The working from home is killing my side hustle and ultimate transition to entrepreneurship
I did Sunday travel to DC and loved it. Really miss the nice hotel and free food budget. Also the flight was 40 minutes for me and rarely delayed.
I am on the west coast with a client on the east coast. The hours are brutal. Wake up on eastern time zone and finish work in pacific time zone. Getting to travel will at least put me in the same time zone.
Travel used to be fun. There is very little enjoyment out of it now (unless there is a vacation on the other end).
