Been in a PR Coordinator position for two years now and feeling discouraged about no promotion or raise. I was ready for a promotion, but COVID happened and now it’s on hold. I’m looking elsewhere but obviously the job market’s not booming. Any encouraging words of advice?
I applied for a Data Security Manager role at Amazon, but the hiring manager offered me a phone interview for a Sr. Data Security Engineer role. I'm curious if there would be a penalty, i.e. I wouldn't be eligible for other roles I'd want to apply to in the future if I don't take the interview?
Started in-house a few weeks ago. I’ve been asked to provide Management Objectives for my role, which will be used for bonus eligibility. Can someone shed light on what goes in this? I am in IP.
A pwc recruiter called me out of the blue to ask for my resumé and to set up interviews for a SA role that apparently needs to get staffed asap- I’ve been at Accenture for almost 3 years already and I just started a new project but agreed to interview anyway…what should I expect for a technical interview for a customer marketing role?
I’ve been freelancing on & off for years & am having a hard time landing a full time role. Partially cause when I get a gig, it distracts me from my search but can’t afford the 3m it takes - continued

Actively looking for an HR generalist role! Does anyone know any roles opening up soon in your companies? My background: have a BBA in HRM, MSHRM, and SHRM-CP certification. One year and a couple of months in EY’s People Advisory practice, and some HR internship experiences. I’ve done work with the talent team on my projects in the past. I’m looking to go internal ASAP so let me know if you have advice or know of any roles opening in your company 🙂
What are some exit ops for finance transformation consulting? Work sounds interesting but not sure what opportunities await when I decide to leave consulting
What are some companies that could be a good exit opportunity in Phillly? Comcast, DOW, FMC...any others come to mind?
How many portfolio pieces do you show during an interview? I’m applying for a UX UI position and they want me to share my work
Compared to consulting, how much more challenging / demanding is an equity research role?
*Advice* I recently accepted position at a 50K pay cut (covid). I shared my target salary /lateral move & at the negotiation point, they came up slightly by way of qtrly bonus structure but also outlined path for growth incl. expected salary increases at said points. Said it could be achieved in under a year. By day 4 of the new job they had accelerated to the final point in that plan without making good on title / salary. Spoke up immediately... “in discussion” 2 weeks in. Bait/switch WWUD??
Any advice on looking for a role in a new city? I was in nyc for 5 years and just moved to chi. Looking to get back into agency world but don’t have a network here yet
I have worked in the HR space for the past 9 years, however most of my experience has been in Talent Acquisition. I do want to move into a People Operations/Generalist role. I’m planning to go for a HR certificate but unsure if I should go for a PHR or SHRM. Please advise!
Received MBB offer, which I’m very grateful for. I have a medical degree with some work experience. I want to stay in healthcare. I like pharma/biotech, provider systems but also early stage healthcare investing. Certainly open to consulting long term. Few Qs: is the promotion pipeline any different for advanced degree folks? What sort of exit opps would be available to someone like me post MBB? Would my skill set/knowledge base be uniquely sought after, or not really? Thank you for your help!
I have been applying for jobs for about 1 month and can’t to get an interview. I’ve been at Big 4 for over 5 years. Others experiencing the same? Are hiring managers holding off recruiting till 2020?
Has anyone had luck finding an epidemiology expert for a covid claim? Defense side. Desperate times, desperate times ... no luck with any major search engines.
Hi , need your opinions- Which is better? A senior financial analyst working in CP&A, Amex or Senior Associate Manager in EY, TAS, Financial Due Diligence team? Appreciate your views!
@Creatives, Is your agency hiring senior-CD level creatives? Wondering if agencies are bringing in new people? Or just expecting staffers to make due.
Anyone willing to PM me with their Marriott Ambassadors contact info? Mine resigned and I need someone to work magic on a property that won’t let me book with points for a family vacation. TYIA!
An interviewing company hasn’t offered me the job yet but is asking me for my visa documents so their counsel can take a look. I assume they want to see how much time is left before extending offer. Has anyone been in this situation yet? I’m a bit wary of sending over personal legal documents when things are still up in the air
Approached by a recruiter for Siegfried Group... Is it ok to ask her what other companies/positions she’s currently recruiting for, or do recruiters prefer you only discuss the role they contacted you about? Also anyone know what the (internal) referral bonus is for someone who brings a senior associate into Siegfried?
I wish immigration was not an issue. Have been interviewing nonstop and had pretty good interviews at that. Lost so many cause of H1B. Many , am sure there were people better than me , so I lost those rounds. There is so much you can do with your career at US. Take risks with firms and roles, learn more, apply ambitiously, take a break, not settle down for the first role you get cause you are desperate to find a job within the grace period. I am not looking for pity but I wish..
Manager BS-es her way into trouble, then claims she's "not allowed" to forward me the email thread (just sends me the latest nasty-gram from client) when asking me to do damage control.
MBB folk, for your post -MBA role, when those folk join, do they lead models / key analytical work streams or focus more on project management, methodology, etc. while the post- undergrad hires handle most of the analytical execution work?
Starting a project next week after a long holiday break, I need to learn how to be a working professional again 😂
Would you ever ask for a raise in a lockstep firm? I have billed enough hours over target consistently since the start of my career (500-800 hours over every year) that I am well over a year’s worth of target hours ahead. I think there is no chance, but thought I’d ask the question here just in case!
Anyone exit to BizOps with a mid market, high growth company ($100mm, $30% growth)? What is the role like?
