I am about to graduate with my Econ degree in 2 weeks, but I have no job. I interviewed with a large bank w/ an Orlando office for an analyst position, but have had no luck yet. I know Excel, Tableau, and a little SQL. I have a 3.2 GPA and a few internships, but nothing on my resume is spectacular. I don’t want work anywhere besides the Orlando, Tampa/SWFL, or Miami areas, so I only target companies there or remote jobs. What can I do to improve my job search? It’s going nowhere

I currently do securities ops/accounting but want to move into a more client facing role. One of our marketing/client service associates got a promotion, so I’m guessing she’ll be doing higher level work, which may leave a gap for some of the work she used to do. How would I go about asking if I can work on that team in some capacity but still do my current role? I’m graduating in December, with a background in environmental economics and policy. Consulting didn’t work out this cycle.
