I am currently in my first year of getting my bachelors degree in Criminal Justice. I want to become a detective when I get out of school. My biggest struggle is that I want to be involved with the police in my community but I don't know what kind of jobs I can get as a full-time college student. I've been supporting myself by working in restaurants but I don't want to just do that for the next 4 years. I want to get involved with my career before graduating. Are there any part-time positions within policing where I can work, make enough to support myself, and be involved with my community/police while I attend college full time?

MBB AP about to exit to non-FAANG tech. Would you expect a signing bonus and/or pre-determined severance pay if things don't work out with the new company? Is leaving consulting as a senior, with 2 YOE, too soon? When is a “good” time to exit, in your opinion? I ask because I’ve heard senior is good, and I’ve heard manager is the latest you should stay before diminishing exit returns (anecdotal)

Hi fishes, I got 5+ years of work ex of which 2 years was in domain non IT job. While joining Accenture I was offered level 11 (As SAP functional CONSULTANT) while I believe I should be at level 10. What can I do? Is it that just your IT work ex they consider? Suggest things I could do. Completed 8 months in Accenture now as SAP Functional consultant.

Internship Program Help: Hi Everyone! I’ve never worked for a company with any type of internship program at all, let alone a really successful one. My new company thrives off our internship program, with many of our managers/directors having started as one themselves. I’d like to create more of a structure to this program but not even really sure where to begin. Also don’t want to bite off more than I can chew, but would love to hear some tips or even better, maybe have a quick chat if willing?

I work for a small agency and manage our internal marketing acct. We had very few processes in place when I started. I’ve since created, implemented, and trained our dept. on project mgmt for clients and am trying to convince the owner to apply those principles to our internal jobs. They are resistant because they just want the work to be done and don’t “want to keep spending money on internal jobs”. I’m confused because we’re doing the work either way and “spending” in labor/resources.

Nyc based. Is it at all possible to make at least 200 base in corp dev or strategy at a tech company? Super burned out but don’t want to take a paycut in base. I realize I’ll never make all in comp the same in tech but if I can match base I’d be content.

I can really use some direction. My background, I've worked 2 years in strategy and am currently coming off an exhausting year 2 in investment banking. I didn't particularly enjoy either role and am not interested in moving over to the buy-side or some monotonous FP&A role. Everybody says there's exit-ops aplenty, but I find myself with less options and even more picky than I did as an ambitious T2 undergrad student. Where do I go from here?

I have been diagnosed with bipolar disorder type 2. My dream was to work criminal investigations and I've been grappling with the fact that this is no longer an option for me. I am nearly certain that I am disqualified from federal agent (1811) type positions. Local officers and detectives, although I take medication that manages my condition, would I be disqualified from your department due to this mental health condition?
