Due to obvious conditions my comp for the calendar year (salary+bonus) is back to 2017 levels although my overall sales are more than double and 1/3 less total comp than last year. Just curious to how my firms (wealth management/bank/trust) comp compares with others out there. I received a promotion earlier this year from an Investment Advisor, AVP to Senior Investment Advisor, VP and moved from $110K to $140K ($130 salary + $10K discretionary bonus) all in. By meeting expectations in 2 pay cycles, the base bumps up to $175K + bonus. Grown in this role over about 10 years with the same firm, MBA + CFA; top 10 city and living comfortably as dual income household.

Can someone please share the current trends in joining/signing on bonus in Asset management industry.

I have an offer from an Asset Manager in London and it is slightly below my expectations. I want to approach them for a joining bonus but was not sure if it is a thing in asset management.

Also what is a good % to ask for a joining bonus [5%, 10% or 15%] of the base salary

Curious what’s a fair salary in MA? Was just told that there is likely not going to be a chance for a raise during my upcoming performance review due to my salary already being “above average for the industry” based on my employer’s questionable research. I’ve been with the company 8.5 years & am the only one in my role, which they can’t operate without. I execute tasks from two investment advisors and two financial planners - they make the decisions of what should happen & I make it happen.

I’m currently a Risk Analyst and a full time MBA student. I don’t have any experience working on the investment side of the bank but I would really like to pivot into an investment analyst role. I’m from America, but currently working in London and would really like to stay here. Does anyone have any tips or advise that might help me land an investment analyst role in London?
