Hi fishes,
I interviewed with Siemens Energy for SAP ABAP position on 21st Jan. The interview went on for about an hour and in the end, the interviewer asked my expected ctc and wanted assurance if I won't negotiate on Siemens offer with some other company as i am currently serving notice period and join Siemens if provided an offer.
Till now , the HR team has not reached out to me for salary discussions and my LWD is 7th Feb. Can i expect a call or i got rejected ?Siemens

In-hand for below offer?

Is HARMAN really recruiting for permanent remote roles? Would they ask us to come to office after sometime? I am a bachelor woman supporting my sickly parents and can't move them out of city. And my city don't have harman office. HR did mention permanent remote, still want to confirm as I've heard many cases people were called back across different product based companies. Larsen & Toubro Infotech Hi Everyone,

How many years of experience does Cognizant consider in order to give "Associate" role?
I am switching from Larsen & Toubro Infotech & I got a role of 'Programmer Analyst' having 2.2 YOE.
What is the max budget for 'Programmer Analyst' role ?

I went through this a few months ago. I scheduled a meeting with the hiring manager and asked if they thought it was worth my (and her) time for me to apply. We had a good working relationship before and still. She was very open about the position and what the job entailed. I ended up not getting the position it went to someone with slightly more experience than me.
But I would say just ask. I would also ask people who report to her and see what they think of her as well. Just to make sure it’s a good fit for both of you. As far as changing the level goes let her know that it would be a hard ship to take a pay cut and ask if there is something they could add to the role to make it equal to the level you are at now. You do have to consider they may not have budgeted for that though. But it’s worth a question.
Thanks for your thorough responses. I appreciate it. I work directly with the hiring manager and assisting in a current project so no problem on the relationship fit. The pay cut and level will be a huge conflict for me, Im currently at the top of my pay band. Level below me is basically entry level. 🥲
Technologist 1’s answer is pretty thorough. I have been the hiring manager on both occasions. Bottom line - have a conversation.
I will share two experiences where I was the hiring manager-
In one case, I had an external candidate come to me via referral; and the candidate had great experience and credentials (and over qualified for the position). I had the candidate meet the group head for her take - and after that, because we were interested in this candidate- we re-graded the role, that changed the financial takehome.
At the same time, I have also been the hiring manager where an internal candidate wanted me to re-grade the role - but since I had someone else fund the role (my options were limited); plus it wasn’t like I couldn’t get a better candidate so was not worth going through the trouble to re-grade the role.
Share your reason why you are willing to go a level below and what your plans are to show you plan to stay? Curious of why you want to switch teams and go a level below!
I dont want to drop a level but do want to ask if it was possible to join at the my current level. I wanted to join her team since I started but they didn’t have any roles open.
