I am on a tour with a team that focuses on PM for internally developed tools in our firm. I’ve been asked to create a PowerBI dashboard to help our leadership understand where everything stands, but this is all new to me and I don’t know where to start, and my manager is new/wants me to experiment. What sort of metrics/visualizations should I focus on? Budget isn’t a concern for this, so I’m leaning towards Gantt charts to show projects/milestones but I don’t know what else to include.

Is this legal? My spouses company just decided to change their comp structure for account managers. It was base + comm, now it’s commission only but nothing changed, OT commission is the same, didn’t get more points, just took away the base pay and said work harder basically. So now they have to worker harder to get $50k they were already making. (Not a decision based on employee performance, they’ve been crushing it. I think the company is just trying to save money they overspent else where)

But the initial identification of user groups is something I find challenging. What’s your go-to way of doing this? For example, the question “design a podcasting app for truck drivers.” What types of truck drivers can I select so that I can prioritize a user group to focus on and begin identification of pain points and solutions?

A colleague told me today that Google separates Product Manager and Product Owner as two separate roles.
