I am Salesforce Architect, have worked for Salesforce, Oracle, Accenture and Deloitte in the past, I have 15 years of IT Experience. I am finding it very difficult to find a job . First there are too many applicants, of course the usual methods applying through LinkedIn, Monster , Dice etc, doesn't work. What sites or methods of job hunting work these days? There can't be anything better than personal networking....am I missing something? Has the job market changed? I am just lost.

Should a remote job’s salary be based on where I live or the company? For instance, I’m interviewing with a SF company for a role that has the ability to be remote (I live in portland). They gave me the “portland range” when talking about salary. What if I later on decide I no longer went to be remote but come into the office and be in SF area. I interviewed with capgemini for SAP ABAP role and my YOE is 4 years. Just 2 hours after my interview, I got a call from someone at Capgemini saying that I am selected.
They just asked my notice period and current location.I asked them, what is the next round going to be and they said that it is going to be salary discussion. But till now, no one has reached out to me.
Does it mean they got another candidate for same job?
If they get back to me, how much should I ask?
