I am so frustrated with these reviewers. We submitted to a top tier journal with a 12% acceptance rate and waited 4 months for feedback. One reviewer wrote a single paragraph and asked for an entirely new experiment that would take SIX months and another $50K.

I completely understand your frustration. This is unfortunately common with ultra-competitive journals. Reviewers often request major additions, even if the core work is strong. Prioritize which critiques are essential. You can address the feasible points thoroughly and explain why certain experiments aren’t feasible. Remember, this one submission and review doesn’t negate all that work.

I currently work in Healthcare as a respiratory therapist for 10 years. I have been at my job, currently, for a little over 5 years. Alongside my bachelors degree I also have a masters degree in healthcare administration. Although, I am happy with my current position as a respiratory therapist, there seems to be not a lot career growth with where the department I currently work in within my healthcare system. I am wondering what doors/opportunities I have if I were to utilize my masters degree?

I have a degree in horticulture with lab experience.
