How do you explain logistic regression on an interview?

I'm not sure I understand this question

I would just tell them that it's calculating the likelihood of a certain event given the parameters set by other events. Cause1 + Cause2 = Effect1 OR Effect2, then you determine whether the Effect1 or Effect2 is more likely to occur than its counterpart; just because there are two options in this model does not mean you can infer 50/50 distribution of the outcome. Or maybe something less nerdy, who knows... ;)

That really depends on if they are looking for a long or short answer. I'd go with the short summation first, "predicting the ratio of cause(s) to a specific outcome," because they are probably really asking "can you explain this without sounding pretentious" because they wouldn't want to work with someone who thinks they're hot stuff because they can speak fluent geek

Not applying now but planning the best way of getting there. Thanks!

Hey all,
I was wondering how accurate indeed salary estimates are? I live in a LCOL area in PA, and the estimate for the company I’m interviewing with is 67k - 85k. They’re a relatively big tech company and I’m applying to be a Business Development Specialist. Thank you in advance!

I'm currently doing my internship at Simon-Kucher (4 months), and love the job I do. However, the long working hours (it was 14.5 hours yesterday, for example) is killing me everyday and gives me no space to relax and improve myself, or even reading a book. Now, I got another internship offer, including a full time one, from P&G's Finance department. Though I'm not a fan of finance, it offers me decent working hours, a lower salary (but not much), and a nice career path. What do you think?

I want to take more brainstorming, decision making responsibilities but I don’t see that in the career path for PM. Career path usually goes like this- Sr PM, Director l, Sr Director, and so on. But all do same work.
