Hi all, recently in touch by Spotify recruiter for a Sec Engineer position for remote EU and was told that range was 60-80 out of base salary and equity. Had 2 years of security experience out of my 4 years. Was also told that there is no bonus scheme or no sign in bonus 😕 Not sure how I feel about this tbh.
What do you think?

It’s a big city, you will be fine
Yes
You can live anywhere and be sober. Go join activity clubs
Yes. There’s more to Miami than south beach/night clubs. Plenty of places where you can go to still be social without needing to be in a bar/club. If you make the move, focus on finding friends in places that align with the type of lifestyle you want to live (eg I know a lot of people in my gym don’t drink/live a party lifestyle bc of health goals)
Same! Getting into a regular workout routine and joining a smaller private gym put me around people who prioritize health and supported/encouraged me as my body changed. It made me naturally drink less to the point I prefer not to and those friends all live similarly so when we go out it’s not an issue

Yes. There is a huge fitness community here and a lot of other transplants that aren’t big partiers.
There’s a lot of people interested in fitness/outdoor activities too. People should respect that you’re sober, it’s just about finding the right people!

You have to trust your gut. If you are even contemplating whether or not you can be sober while living in Florida then you may already have your answer. I wish you the best in your journey
I have plenty of friends and go out most weekends. Maybe MAYBE I drink 2 beers or drinks once a month. You can
There are a few parties in Miami but you always can stay home if you want. The city have many options of outdoor activities. It’s always you who decides how the city will be for you.
Miami is a tourist party city. Living here in Miami proper is more about wellness than partying. Pretty easy to be sober and live here tbh.
