However , it's been a 10 days after docs submission but haven't received any call from HR for salary negotiation. Hey! Any Google folks know if it’s possible to negotiate fully remote if a contract role is hybrid? Personally, I don’t want to relocate and go to the office on a contract role given the current economy. Plus, I’m assuming contractors are the first to go in layoffs. I just think it’s a fair trade off if I’d be allowed to work fully remote. I’m also trying to have flexibility to manage my Airbnb business in a different country. Same time zone as the home office if I’d travel weeks at a time.
I was just offered a CUNY role. The title is Higher Education Assistant. According to Glassdoor, the average annual pay for that role is $83,418. However, I was offered $62,500. I requested for the minimum annual salary to be 75k. Does anyone have experience navigating the CUNY system and their pay?

I’d find similar roles and go with that as the range. I don’t like showing my hand first, but I don’t want to go back and forth either. Ironic how they ask us and never want to provide their budget.

Hmm how interested are you in the position? I would maybe ask if there is a target range they could provide instead of you sharing a number. Maybe you could ask to schedule a quick call because it seems like they want to interview you but you may be too expensive for them
They may be assuming based on my experience that I’d expect more than they want to pay. I’m honestly not that interested in this role but I am anxious to get out of my current role so I guess I will let them know what I would be willing to accept.
Definitely ask if they have a specific daily/monthly goal for hygiene (you) . Standard is you should produce 3x your salary or what you make an hr. /dy.
I’d go with with a range slightly above what you’re looking for
If you figure the role should pay $150k then say 160-180k

Find the number that would make you happy and is reasonable - Add 20-50% based on how desperate for a new job you are.
Send that number as an expectation with a "willing to negotiate based on overall offer" - benefits etc
