I brought in a $1.2M project this year. Biggest win of my career. My MD thanked me and then immediately looped me out of the senior convos. How do you make sure you’re not just doing partner-level work, but getting partner-level credit?

Requires some finesse but the summary is that you need to be loud. Tell as many people as possible or at least the end goal should be for as many people as possible to know about your accomplishments and contributions. I would first have a direct convo with MD and ask why you haven’t been looped in. Do you have mentors or other senior execs at the firm to speak with?

Feel free to dm me. Ofcourse I have a team that I have built from scratch. It’s in AI

You do not get partner level credit unless you are a partner…

Kiss the ring while making sure they are giving you credit for driving … remember - your career is built through the partner on theory.

I’m curious to know if anyone has experience working part-time in architecture? I have been working for large international firms in NYC for the past 10 years. So I work all day every day. My evenings and often the weekends are all absorbed by work duties. Working part-time would allow me to find a better balance, and carve out space for side gigs and eventually start my own firm. Any recommendations?

I've heard a couple of things about how the partner pension amount @ PwC is determined, both similar in approach.

Both calculations I have heard of result in an annuity paid until death, at which point a surviving spouse (if any) receives the annuity.

The first calculation I have heard is that you get 80% of your highest earning year as a partner (e.g. If your best year was $1M, you'd get $800k as an annuity).

The second calculation I have heard is that they look at your three highest earning years as a partner, and take the second highest and you get 100% of that. (e.g if your three highest earning years were $1M, $800k, and $1.2M, you'd receive $1M as an annuity).

Is ANY of this true, or just all rumor? Any PwC partners that can chime in and explain the pension plan fact for fact? Perhaps with sample numbers?
