Please evaluate this initial offer for Apple ICT3. I think I was low balled, but I want to take more opinions. Currently Sr. MTS at VMware, received Apple ICT3. I was expecting to get to ICT4 but seems like team thinks upper end of ICT3 is more apt. Also, I think it is because I don’t have any counter offers yet.

Law firms are very good at selling hours, and ok at providing legal services. They’re not necessarily great at anything else, including management. So they’re ripe for disruption and won’t see it coming. There are thousands of books, CLE’s and seminars on this.
Schedule phone calls with clients over 1/2 of the meetings.
But also: if your law firm is making an associate sit through more than 1 meeting per week, leave. That’s weird.
Note that I’m not talking about meetings about cases. Those bill for them and if you work for people who have 1-2 hour calls on stuff that could be an email, bill every minute. But more long term, start saying you have a hard stop at 1 hour, and just hop off the call. Sometimes make it 30 minutes.
This comes down to leadership being willing to make a decision. I try hard to bring that to the room. We'll talk, and when enough has been said, make the call. If the leader won't do it, in a law firm nobody else will because they either don't have the authority or don't want to step on toes.
Are the meetings with clients? If yes, that is work. If the meetings are internal about clients’ work, why would the clients pay for it?
