Keep going on dates! Plenty of fish in the zoom sea! Don’t let one date get you down
Thanks all. These comments actually made me feel better. Most of my friends are in long term committed relationships and when I vent about dating their response is usually along the lines of “yeah dating sucks thank god I found [insert partner’s name].” I appreciate you taking the time to respond! 😊
I was single and dating for two years. This is an unfortunately common occurrence that does not have to mean anything. Sometimes people just don’t jive. Always nice to get a note saying “hey sorry just not feeling it” so you can check that box in your head, but often times doesn’t happen.
I wish you the best. I promise there is a light at the end of the tunnel if you keep your chin up. Honestly positive thinking and good attitude is the best way to date. However you can put yourself in a happy mood, try to do that before you chat with people. I learned that late in the game but lead me to my current gf.
Good luck! Hope you keep on going :)
Don’t feel stupid for feeling disappointed! You liked him and wanted to meet again. It didn’t work out and that IS disappointing.
Better luck next time! There are plenty more 🐠 in the sea!
I’ve had this happen many times (not a zoom date but a phone conversation or a real date that went well, even really well, and there was some or even strong indication there would be further contact, but then shortly later the guy ghosts). So guys, what gives? I’m not delusional, I’m sure OP isn’t either — the interest was mutual. So what happened?
I appreciate this comment D1. I’ve been on plenty of dates, good and bad, and I feel like I normally have a pretty good sense if the other person is interested or not. Like you said, I’m not delusional.
On this date we talked for like 5 hours and it felt like the time flew by. The conversation was so easy and we both were laughing throughout. When I said it was time for me to go to bed, he said “Oh my god I can’t believe it’s almost midnight this went by so fast.” I agreed and said I had a great time. He said something like “This was a lot of fun. We should definitely do this again, hopefully in person next time.”
Given all that, obviously I thought we’d continue talking. I’m not sure what happened here but oh well. Dating is confusing 🤷🏻♀️

Either he wasn't feeling it and was being polite, or he's found someone else he's interested in.

This happened to me recently too! It sucks - tbh i felt like am i bot pretty enough or something- but tell myself what isn't for me goes away and what is for me will come to me ...or so I hope 😭
It’s true. Dating is not always about being pretty or not, or interesting or not. It’s about complete chemistry which throws all aspects of you into the arena. If you went on 100 dates I bet 75 would stink. 20 would be fine, and 5 would be great. That feeling of wanting to see someone again and craving to text them the next day is super rare. Most of the time it’s just not meant to be. Hang in there though. So long as you keep a positive mindset and stay on your path, someone will come join you on your life’s journey.
