I do not see too many tech M&A roles in the industry. Can someone please guide me how to find those. LinkedIn and Indeed are almost useless.

That’s because they’re either in PE Ops (look for value creation, operating executive, etc.) or they are just internal tech roles. Industry roles don’t spend money on full-time employees just for tech M&A. They utilize the tech teams they have internally if and when there is an acquisition event.

No disrespect, but calling out a few inaccuracies here:
Consultant to operating executive is rare unless they have prior operational experience. Value creation usually also has either a growth or ops excellence lens - neither of which are inherently in a tech M&A consultants wheelhouse. I know I'm making broad assumptions here but I did tech M&A and my exits were more aligned to integrations since much of that is people, process, and tech harmonization.

The other points are generally right, though I would also recommend OP look into roles aligned to a transformation office or a chief of staff supporting a technical office like the CTO or CIO.

Most are embedded within the Portfolio Ops or Value Creation teams in large funds and supplemented by consultants. When comes to Mid-Market, they almost always rely on external consultants for IT services (Diligences, Deal Execution and Post-Close VC).

How are you in tech M&A at EY and not already know this?

Not everyone knows the exits when they get into a consulting role (especially early career hires). Tech M&A is also a broad term. Be kind.

COO’s & previous SR. account executives…

I made it to regional manager for a franchise by age 22. Ran a successful financial practice & sold by the age of 33. Took 2 years off and built a health & wellness coaching platform for my wife (medical provider). Then, the last 2.5 yrs, have been a top producer in Saas sales as a senior account executive. I’ve been told I would make a great COO someday and I’m ready to take the next step into leadership. Who/what should I be targeting next?
