I feel like a majority of PI plaintiff’s attorneys make more than their ID counterparts, including associates. Is this accurate?

It's all about the individual and the geographic area. As a general rule, folks on the defense will start out making more, but if the Plaintiff's PI attorney is motivated and business-savvy, he should catch up and pass by year 3/4.

A lot of DA's cap out around $250k-$350k, but of course if they get to the next level of business generation and equity, then seven figures is quite possible.

Conversely, many on the Plaintiff's side get stuck working in a mill, overworked and with a bad split and never move up or out, but those who crush it also can easily make 7 figures.

How difficult would it be to exit into MBB from Big 4 financial services consulting? Obviously it’s dependent on the candidate, but is this a switch one can accomplish without going back for an MBA?

Currently a big 4 consultant and got an offer from FAANG for a strategy and ops role that would bring my total comp up 60%. I’m really grateful for the offer and really excited, however, I am also interviewing with MBB. It has always been a goal of mine to work for tier 1 strategy firm as I’ve always felt on the outside looking in at big4. I feel like most exit ops from strategy would be S&O industry roles but still can’t get these MBB firms out of my mind. Am I just overthinking this?

I have gotten a verbal offer from Facebook, but I just had my phone screen interview with the hiring manager at Amazon yesterday. I want to reach out to the recruiter at Amazon and let them know what the timeline looks like. I would much rather have the Amazon job over the Facebook one. But I’m afraid if I decline Facebook then Amazon won’t happen. I’m just completely lost.

Does anyone feel that the Oil and Gas industry is the most discriminatory industry of all? They won’t even look at resume without O&G experience! It does not make sense to me as I would rather teach someone the specifics of an industry if they were a good fit. And for an industry that has so many obstacles from Government, Environmental Organizations and so on, why they are adding more bad publicity to themselves is not a great approach.

Hey Dallas folks!

I want to get to know the local private companies. I worked at a private company with 2-3k employees before my MBA. They had an amazing culture, but limited progression opportunities. I'm thinking about looking for a smaller company (couple hundred to couple thousand employees) in the Dallas area and looking to find an amazing culture.

Anyone have recommendations on companies with great cultures in the Dallas/north of Dallas areas? (I live in the Plano/Allen/Mckinney area)
