I try to be super tactical about the romance bit, my weekly to do list includes things like - 2 meals together, exercise together 2 times a week, etc. obviously I do all this without letting her know so that it at least comes across as thoughtful and romantic, which it is, just not in the traditional sense. It for sure takes work
You gotta find a way to let her know she’s more than a roommate. You can start by setting aside time for specific stuff like a fancy dinner or walk in park together. The point is to be intentional with ur time together and your relationship.
Absolutely agree. That’s the key imho. Unfortunately stress and late night work doesn’t help to free up consistent and scheduled one-on-one time. Also pregnancies and first months after the birth are the worst.
I think you speak for most, if not all. 🙂
I've found that every major life event seems to cut sex frequency in half. Marriage, Kids, etc.
Good news is that now that we're done having kids and they're not infants anymore the declining sex curve is starting to rebound.
It happened in my marriage before we got divorced. Much happier now.
Yes it’s normal. Yes it still sucks.
The norm.
SM1 declining curves need flattening too!
Check out the Dead Bedroom subreddit. I was in this situation but my wife felt it more. She found DB and it really helped me understand her feelings and how to start to fix it.
Defintiely happens to a lot of people.
Best thing to do is to make investments in time together and be more spontaneous.
Take a trip when things settle down, just the two of you. Leave the kids.
The trip I took with my SO basically saved my marriage. Also it got me away from my screaming teenagers for 2 weeks.
