The Body Keeps Score was helpful during my healing journey from the death of an estranged parent. It doesn’t speak directly to the topic as much as it speaks to the release of internalized trauma from the body. I hope you find the book and relief you’re seeking. 💜
No books but writing and crying both helped me. Estranged or not , losing a parent is brutally painful and takes a long time to heal (if at all)
I had crying spells- bad ones- I think you dont forget about it; you learn to live with it. I can still think about it and it brings tears to my eyes. I hope you find peace and strength
