I found out today that the new hire who has two years less experience than me is making $15k more because they negotiated better during the peak of the hiring craze. I like my team, but knowing I’m being underpaid for the same (or more) work is eating me alive. I want to bring it up in my annual review, but I know they’ll just give me the budget constraints speech. Should I even bother trying to negotiate a market adjustment, or is it always faster to just leave for a new company?

People who are happy that the office is dead should reconsider. If the office is dead wouldn't that mean more outsourcing and less TC forward? Isn't it short sighted to think jobs will stay in the US if they are remote considering how expensive it is to hire here?

I’m a CRC who manages Investigator- led clinical research projects and I want to transition to a PM role in industry (I would slightly prefer not a PM role in clinical trials since I don’t have clinical trial experience.) Should you discuss salary range with an internal company recruiter prior to setting up an interview? With external recruiters it’s pretty easy to talk about the expected range. I am trying to avoid wasting all of our time if i get to the last interview and they are expecting a salary that is too low for me.

Interviewing for senior audit role at a small tech company, interviewed with 7 people so far. Recruiter ghosts me for 1 month and now she wants me to do more interviews. During the 1 month of ghosting I applied for an internal transfer at EY and have interview next week.
