I got a divorce and pretty much want to move out of the state (PA) and start fresh. I want to make more than I do now, and that's all I can focus on. If you could be anywhere in the US, where would you go, considering your decision is based on where you can make the most in retail?

Hey fellow divorcee. Come on down to Florida. Pay is solid down here, at least where I'm at. Higher cost of living, but the salaries still make up for that compared to when I was living up north.

I did exactly that, and I have not regretted it one bit. I left Iowa and moved to Georgia. I didn't necessarily do it because I could make the most money here, though. I wanted to live somewhere that I would enjoy as well.

I would move to California because of the weather and it would greatly affect my mood to work harder. Also, my mental clarity will be at a 100x better due to the weather. I know California and New York has a great pay but the cost of living balance it out.

California, either southern where its warmer during the summer and cost of living is much less then northern california (Bay Area). But with that said salaries depending on your qualifications as a General - District or Regional manager can go above 110K to 170K
