Good, bad, indifferent, always ask for more unless you have already negotiated in the front end.
ACN, thank you. I really loved the team and would love to work with you. I had an opportunity to review the offer, and would like to counter with a starting salary of 85k and a signing bonus of 15k, which I believe better reflects my prior experience. Please let me know your thoughts.
77.5k is standard for CDP Analyst straight out of school. Considering you are an experienced hire, I would imagine you can get up to 5k more, the benefits package is locked at what they first offered. I would push back on signing bonus, relocation stipend (if applicable) and total salary. That being said, CDP is one of Accenture’s largest programs and there isn’t a much (if any) wiggle room to negotiate
I’d ask for 10k more on your base and let them meet you at 82 or so.
Regardless of how this turns out, congrats! That’s a great offer for someone with your experience and age range. Trust me - you’ll be making way more than a majority of your peers. And money isn’t everything - the program itself sounds like a fantastic opportunity to get your foot in the door.
Any tips on negotiating the offer is appreciated . Includes standard sign on bonus, (mediocre) PTO sick days, and ability to buy shares. Would be happy(er) closer to the 80 range. Is their offer Reasonable? Or did I get low balled ? I am 3 years out of undergrad
My PTO as a new analyst was like 15 days
Where and what level? Edit: coming from consulting or industry?
I think, generally, entry level non-consulting experience isn’t valued. You’ll still need to learn how to operate in a consulting environment so seems about right to me. I’ve heard of people with like 10yrs industry still coming in as senior analysts 🙃
CDP has recently been revamped and includes some great initial training opportunities. What is your location? Often that will affect base pay. Offer seems pretty standard, but it is always worth trying to ask for more just in case. For your 3 years out of undergrad, did you do anything that can add value? You may be able to play this up as a differentiator or justification for why they should pay you more vs the straight out of college hire
There might not be much wiggle room since you can’t leverage any consulting experience :/
What is the city? And what is ur current company and title? And what is the offer position and title?
Echoing with the partner above - 85K should be more reasonable for 3 yrs of work experience. TBH, I started at 82K right out of undergrad at accenture in LA as a technology analyst.
