Hi fellow fishies!
Can someone please explain what is “SUPPLEMENTARY allowance” in my payslip??? It is the highest in my entire payslip, more than basic salary. Basic is lets say ₹7 lac annually and supplementary bonus is ₹7 lac 40 thousand.
Can someone please explain why this exists in my paylslip, is it good or bad from tax perspective and shall I ask my HR to decrease it???

Quite low for the YOE and MBA - but I guess it’s important to know were all of those YOE in direct consulting or not and your background.
How is that possible? Deloitte is paying MBA associates 160 out of school and most of them have much less than 8 YOE
It really depends on operating portfolios, in some areas we start some SCs with less years of experience at 115k....
This would be low even without an MBA. I would’ve put your salary around 200k based on that info.

I think you should take it. You know what is do to get that? Probably be a shorter lost of things I WOULDN'T do...
If you have an MBA, this is low. You should renegotiate. I got 145k out of my MBA, and this year it's 155k for new graduates.
Thank you! I’m changing geographies too. 8YOE of which 6 have been in consulting in the Middle East. I’ll get back to the recruiter. Do you think they think put you in a lower bracket because they know everyone negotiates? 🤷🏻♀️
They put you in the lower bracket cause if negotiations and so you can get decent raises. If they hire you at the top of the bracket and you get 2% raises, you’d probably leave after 2 years.
That is quite low, especially for NYC. I would ask for more and highlight your international experience. Do you have any competing offers?

I am guessing this is PwC. Where is your mba from?
I have no competing offers - I interviewed coz I needed to get out of my current location. My MBA is from Ivey (Canada). This comp is at pwc if that helps..
