I got fired as a controller of a high growth startup after 20 months on the job because they wanted a unicorn to fill the role of controller with an advanced FP&A skillset. Idiots still haven’t filled the position and I’m now applying for Sr Accountant jobs that have higher base salaries than what I was paid as controller. I don’t have a CPA or MACC but do have 3.5 years of experience as a controller and ~5 total in accounting. Any other roles I should target besides Controller or Sr Accountant?

Got an offer for SE III at a large tech company. Product I'd be working on interests me and I think I could grow more than in my current role.

Currently I make 180k base and have ISO/RSUs @ startup (60k/yr worth on paper, but won't be worth anything for a few years, if at all).

The offer is:
Base: $166,500
Target Bonus: 10% ($16,650)
RSU: 120k total (30k/yr)

Thoughts on offer? Should I counter?

Additionally there's a yearly target RSU bonus about equal to the cash bonus. Thoughts? 4.5 YOE
