How do you all deal with the guilt of leaving a comany/ team? I have been working at Microsoft for 1 year now, and seriously considering moving. I find the code base to be very legacy and I mostly work on obscure bugs that I spend so much time on, mostly due to navigating this large code base and not having much docs to refer to. Hence I find the job slightly unsatisfying, and that I could learn more elsewhere. However, I love the wlb, the team and company culture. The guilt stops my applying.
I've had a hybrid role for the past 4 years where I get unlimited sick days (well 14 really until fmla kicked in), 3 weeks of vacation, 3 personal days. I am also given the week after Xmas off. if my toddlers are sick I can work at home with them. Interviewing w fortune 500 that offers 15 pto days that have to use for sick days too.Strictly in office job 9-5 and dress bus.prof. These bad benefits? Outdated culture?I am a seasoned professional. Seems tough.
Partner Interview (6th interview).
Good or Bad?
My referral had interviews w/ (1)
recruiter, (1) SM, then the series of
(3) 1:1's w/(1) MD and (2) SM's.
The recruiter said he will now have
an interview in Jan. w/ the PPMD.
He interviewed for a M role in
consulting for customer marketing.

recruiter said it was all positive
feedback, just have to find out
where to put him (on the team he
interviewed for or another he is

Hi Capgemini people, Till 15th November we have to declare our vaccination status so that they can plan back to office for the employees who are fully vaccinated or having report of not having covid. I am Fully vaccinated but if I declare that I am partially vaccinated will they get to know my bluff? Make sure you respond via email that you were scheduled for X time and did not receive a call until X time, to which you were unavailable. They will either reschedule or brush it off - think that in itself is telling.

I attempted rescheduled a couple of live interviews due to scheduling conflicts. Both were not interested in assisting me. If anything starts off negative, like a message withdrawing your resume, do so, and walk away knowing you made the right choice. Do you think this is a people oriented employer. Things happen. We are all in this together.

I am sorry to hear that which I had something like that happen to me which was for a virtual screen, I had rescheduled my appointment which was rescheduled although I was told the wrong time as the person rescheduled it on Zoom for 2 PM yet told me 11 AM. I emailed the recruiter who had someone else who did the screen at 2 PM although I could tell they did not put much effort into it.

Why did you not get an apology or a reschedule? It is actually pretty simple if you think about it as things like work ethic, common sense, people skills, reading /comprehension, "soft skills", and the human race have been de-evolving over the years. It does not take more than a minute to apologize to someone and reschedule.
The lack of apology shows a distinct lack of respect for the candidate’s time and a very poor first impression by the interviewing company.
