I had a first interview with the hiring manager (ended up being the director of the division I’m applying into) but I didn’t hear back for a few weeks . Now, the lead recruiter has reached out and requested that we have a call “as a next step” ASAP. Any ideas on what this call may be?

Twice now I have been ghosted by hiring managers after my initial HR screen. It’s really got me feeling like shit.

Is there any limitation or chances of facing issues on Not having laptop with me(for other exit clearances).
Also it would be great if someone can give guidance on exit clearances as I'm worried that I will miss out something.
