I had a Microsoft Teams interview this afternoon. The interview started off well. Then, the interview veered off into her asking “What is your experience in working for nonprofit organizations?” I do not have experience in nonprofit work, so I responded that while I do not have direct experience in nonprofit, I have trained volunteers on how to perform their jobs within the department of the library I worked for. She didn’t seem to like that response. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Has anyone bombed their last interview (case or assessment) and still got the job? My assessment went over 10mins and so my interviewers and I didn’t have a chance to exchange much, but I did make an effort to ask if they still have some time and asked more questions related to the role. What are my chances 🥲

How to handle working with someone who frustrates you immensely? I work with someone who is one level above me hierarchically and is an ultimate micromanager (not one agenda or recap can be without edits) and is rude about establishing that they have dominance. The more senior leaders on the team are awesome and so is the client. It’s this one coworker who just got promoted and is now stepping on me constantly. Thanks!

I have a coworker who keeps spouting comparative odds and situations in regards to the safety of the vaccine. Such as: you're twice as likely to get hit by lightening than have blod clots from JJ. It's very annoying and I find it to be really inapprorpriate, maybe because it's pushy or just I find these comparative things to be a bit irrelevant. How does one handle something like that? Can you shut the person down without starting a spat?
