I had a really weird interview for Creative Director today.

It’s a small startup. HR interviewed me and asked all the hard hitting questions (how do you get design inspiration, how do you deal with design roadblocks, what sets you apart for this role?) which I thought was odd for a screening interview.

They made some affirmative noises then said the next step would be a design test (one pager) which I would present to a panel of interviewers including the CMO.
Anyone else think this is odd?

Is reaching out on Linkedin the best way to contact a recruiter, or should I look for their professional email?

I recently interviewed with Natwest and I got confirmation that they wanted to offer a role. Salary negotiations were started. However, now I got an email from the hiring manager that hiring for my role has been paused due to the ongoing cost of living crisis. He expects to resume the hiring for the role in Q1 '23 and would resume the process then. So is it the end? Honestly, I don't expect him to come back. But what do you think?

I'm trying to attend several interviews. My current CTC is <10LPA, therefore even if I switch jobs and am offered a package that is 40%–50% higher than my current CTC, my new income won't be much higher than 12LPA–13LPA. However, I am on the lookout for even better ones. So, if there is a negotiation, can I mention to HR that I already have an offer of at least 12 lpa and persuade them to give me more? Will this ruse succeed? Or will they demand to show an offer letter?

How does one go about working with a legal recruiter? I’m connected to a few on LinkedIn but don’t want to reach out to a recruiter that my current firm has a relationship with....

Is it just me or does it feel like everyone else is getting really good exit ops but for us visa folks, opportunities are extremely limited? Pretty discouraged and debating going back to home country...

The best part of external interviews is that no after interview thank you notes are necessary.

Applied for a position in Johnson and Johnson Canada. Reached the final round 3 weeks back. After not getting any updates I emailed the HR a couple of weeks back. They responded back telling me that they’ll have an update for me the next week. Again I emailed them on Thursday asking if they have anything for me before the long weekend ( Good Friday & Easter). No response whatsoever. Will emailing them again be inappropriate? I desperately need this job
