I had a recruiter tell me I was a perfect fit for a role and then disappear for three weeks. Now they’re emailing me like nothing happened. Should I re-engage? I don't want to waste my time on something that won't ever materialize.

Recruiters aren't allowed to have a life! They must dedicate every waking moment to helping us find jobs. 🙄

funny

A month is a long time to go no contact. It wouldn’t hurt to talk to them, but I wouldn’t expect a lot moving forward.

Recruiters are always hard to figure out. They tend to show up and seem enthused and then they can go radio silent. I wouldn't read a lot into it. You might as well see what they have to say.

Did you follow up with them in those 3 weeks?

I have a VC/GE interview coming up (phone screen) and personally don’t know much about the space , it’s just an area that has always seemed interesting.

Does anyone have Recommendations on how to get up to speed/good questions to ask during the phone screen?

I would assume the first call will be pretty standard to any other company, but just want to be prepared.
