I just got an offer from EY in London but considering based on what the maternity policy is which doesn’t seem to be spelt out in contract or benefits pdf. Does anyone know a) if there’s a minimum employment period to qualify and b) what the enhanced maternity pay is. I’ve read both 16 weeks and 18 weeks.

I am currently interviewing at TikTok for the Content Partnerships Lead role. Can anyone share some insight into the salary bands in the Sub-Saharan African market? Should I benchmark with the global rates?
Any tips and experiences interviewing in this region are also welcome - and highly appreciated! :)

I relate to you in the aspect of hating my job but still having to continue for 1.5year now. Just focus on the positives and don’t let anything or anyone negative impact you. U can so this girl!!! Just find positive people and talk to them to feel lighter
Now don’t try to switch… just prepare yourself and practice for interviews… u have to paas these remaining months till delivery any how. Just 6 months.. and after you will feel comfortable and get time before joining back or even after that again start searching… that time you can join other organisation… but for now u can study and make proper notes so that u can just refer them and back on track. Don’t take stress for now… focus on ur mental and physical health and do whatever makes you happy..
I can very well relate to your post. I was in same situation 12 years ago, when I changed the job which I hated very much.As soon as I joined the company I found myself pregnant. I waited till my delivery and later joined back after maternity & after joining I faced hell lots of toxicity which cant be explianed in words. I worked hard on my technical skills & joined a very famous semiconductor company where I worked for a decade and very recently joined another major fintech company. So, wait patiently & upskill silently meanwhile taking care of yourself & baby.
