I signed for a new job two months ago and will start next month (3 mo notice period in Europe). They were very keen on getting me on-board ASAP before signing but since I signed the contract it has been silent from the new employee. I walk a total ~20 mins in between train/bus stations and then getting from the stop in the loop to the office.

My manager continues to ask me to help other teams and do work on other billable projects. I’m sick of it .. and I’m going to explicitly say that no I can’t do it because my hours are taken by the existing project we are doing. Is this appropriate?

I’ve been thinking about it for months but currently feel comfortable in my job/the products I work on. I’d say I have a great work/life balance but I do know that I could be making 20-30% more and have better benefits if I left. I also feel a bit stagnant in my job but the job security has kept me put. Would love to hear if leaving a comfortable job for more money is always worth it.

Whew! That was a long one. I feel like spending over 10 mins on the line with customer support adds a bit of irritation which could turn unpleasant when issues aren’t resolved.

In my company, we have a staff of customer support agents to resolve user concerns, but they prefer to complain on social media and never call the number we give them. Should we transfer the agents to the Social Media platforms or insistently try to get them to call us?

I grew up with a lot of social anxiety so I can't really believe I'm saying this, but my favorite thing about working at a store is that I have to talk to people every day. It's really helped me come "out of my shell" and stepping outside of my comfort zone has given me more confidence than I ever thought it would.
